Each piece is handmade and hand-dyed by me, Astrid, in my sunny little studio in Melbourne’s north.
Bright, joyful and full of personality, my designs are made to bring a little lightness to your day; a pop of colour, a sense of play, and that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you wear something that just feels like you.
Love Astrid began with a love of movement, colour and self-expression. I was inspired by dancing and bold, happy palettes, so I started experimenting with materials that moved beautifully and made people smile. That’s how my signature hand-dyed fringes and tassels were born, pieces that glide and shimmer with every little move.
Before launching Love Astrid, I worked in radio as an announcer and producer, music and storytelling was my thing. I also studied fashion and worked as a stylist, which taught me how powerful colour, texture and personal style can be. All of that experience has shaped the way I design today, bold, playful pieces that aren’t afraid to be noticed.
A few years back, my husband and I packed our lives into two backpacks and travelled through 20 countries over 2.5 years. I brought 25kg of jewellery-making tools with me (yes, really!) and ran Love Astrid from places like Lyon, Amsterdam, Vienna, Edinburgh and Agadir. Every city left its mark, and many of those stories are woven into my pieces.
