I wanted to take a moment to share something a little behind-the-scenes with you.. something that’s been sitting on my heart for a while now.
After years of keeping my prices on the lower side, I’ve made the decision to increase the prices of my jewellery. This wasn’t easy for me. Honestly, for a long time, I held back from making this change because I was scared it might drive people away.
But recently I’ve had a bit of a wake-up moment. I realised that in keeping my prices low to avoid disappointing anyone, I was actually undervaluing not just my creations… but myself too.
So here’s why this change is happening and why it’s important.
✨ Why I’m Increasing My Prices (and why it matters)
1. Every piece is handmade with love.. by me.
Love Astrid isn’t mass-produced or outsourced. Every piece is hand-dyed, assembled, and packed by me in my Melbourne studio. That kind of hands-on process takes time, patience, and care. The new prices reflect the real hours (and heart) that go into every single piece.
2. My material costs have gone way up.
From fringe and beads to gold-filled hooks and packaging, everything has become much more expensive in the last few years. I’ve absorbed those costs for as long as I could, but for Love Astrid to continue sustainably, I need to adjust.
3. Time is valuable (especially mum time!).
I run this business around my beautiful (and busy) family life, which means the hours I get in the studio are precious. Pricing my work fairly allows me to protect that balance and keep the joy in what I do.

4. I’ve grown.. and so has my work.
From travelling the world as a maker-on-the-move to developing my own hand-dye techniques, I’ve grown so much since Love Astrid first began. My designs are stronger, more refined, and filled with story. This new chapter reflects that growth.
5. Undervaluing my work doesn’t serve anyone.
Keeping prices low out of fear has been a hard habit to break, but I know now that when I value my work, I invite others to value it too. It’s not about “charging more.” It’s about aligning the price with the passion and purpose behind each piece.
What this means for you:
Prices will go up on 5 July.
